Based in Los Angeles, Laura is a certified sommelier who also happens to be a museum director. This allows her to combine the trained skills of a docent with that of a wine expert, bringing a greater depth to her wine presentations. 

 

Wine has the power to bring people together. It inspires strong opinions, tells a story of history, culture, geology, geography, and so much more. Our goal is to cultivate that sense of togetherness and guide others to experience wine in an intentional and approachable way. This could be through heritage wine tastings based on the attendees’ cultural and nostalgic background, wines connected to moments in history, or simply exploring the versatility of Chardonnay.

 

In a museum you learn ways to connect guests with the exhibits, make them approachable and relatable. The Wine Docent takes that same methodology and pairs it with professional wine knowledge to help people connect with the fascinating world of wine and all it has to offer.
